Amanda is a results-oriented digital expert who is skilled at engaging target audiences to effectively convey messages, shift perceptions and drive action. And throughout it all, she has been an incredible mentor to many others in the digital health space.

Amanda has a proven track record of establishing digital strategies to enhance integrated communications programs and multi-channel engagement campaigns. For example, she launched @AmgenBiosim Twitter handle and much more while supporting the development of a U.S.-based digital health network at Edelman several years ago. As the first director of digital communications for newly spun-off company Baxalta, she established a digital communications foundation, building a relevant following of over 2,500 in eight months. Additionally, she spearheaded paid media programs to effectively leverage SEM, sponsored content and social media promotion to reach target audiences.

At Horizon Pharma, Amanda leads digital and social media efforts that raise awareness and directly help those living with rare and rheumatic diseases. She led the launch of, oversees the disease education-focused community CGD Connections Facebook page and the social media movement RAREis. Amanda is constantly bringing new ideas to the table and pushing the team to think outside of the box, test, and learn.
