We are absolutely thrilled that Lisa Chengary, Multi-Channel Marketing Manager at Takeda is speaking at our upcoming Healthcare Marketing Summit on Thursday, November 1st.

She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing.  In her current position at Takeda, she works on a variety of channels including in-app advertising and Point of Care marketing.

She’ll be speaking on our Mobile Marketing Panel about in-app advertising.  Here are a few insights from Lisa in advance of the event.

What are the biggest changes in online marketing over the past 10 years

When I think back about healthcare marketing 10 years ago, we primarily had websites and emails to our healthcare providers. Now we can reach our customers just like any other market. A healthcare provider could be checking out the score of the big game and they could be served a message about one of our products.

 

What are the challenges and opportunities of in app advertising for pharma and OTC

Being that pharma is a regulated industry we are limited to what we can say in an advertisement so when you are advertising in an app you only have so much space to place an ad. That is probably the biggest hurdle to overcome.

 

What are the differences of in App advertising vs traditional paid search?

In app advertising can be targeted based on the customers behaviors allowing us to make sure it is a valid lead. Both provide the ability to retarget a consumer/customer to then drive to the desired action.

 

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career?

I am a firm believer that you can learn anything. When people put you in a box don’t let them define you because of their perception. Believe in yourself! Don’t give up when people tell you NO or don’t like your idea. (and remember to Power Pose)
