We love introducing our favorite businesses to our members and event attendees and were thrilled to partner with our favorite Mexican restaurant, Dos Toros for lunch at our 2019 Digital Innovator Summit.

Not only did the attendees fill-up on a buffet with chicken, carnitas, and veggie tacos (and of course guac), Dos Toros donated 75 meals to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and our attendees had a little fun showing off their photo skills.

Social Good at the Digital Innovator Summit

Cause marketing was already top of mind with our attendees who were looking forward to Jennifer Davis, Sr. Manager  at the Kellogg Company’s case study on their World’s Largest Online Food Drive.  When we were talking with Dos Toros about partnering for the Summit lunch, we were thrilled to learn about their commitment to helping those in need. In Chicago, they’ve donated 20,000 to The Greater Chicago Food Depository.  And as a result of the summit, we helped add 75 meals to that number!  That’s right. Dos Toros generously donated one meal for every tweet/Instagram post to the #DosTorosDigital hashtag.  Thanks to Dos Toros for their generous donation and to all of our attendees who helped the cause with their tweets and posts!

Photo Contest!

What’s a digital marketing event without some sort of social media contest?  Attendees posted their most impressive lunch pics using the #DosTorosDigital hashtag, tagging @DosToros for the chance to win 5 burittos from Dos Toros and a very fancy, Digital Megaphone picnic blanket.

While there were several excellent submissions, our social media team picked @megan_zink’s Tweet to walk away with a big prize!  EVERYONE ended up winners.  Each attendee received a free burrito card for their next Dos Toros visit.

Here are a few of our other favorites!  Some of our attendees were excited that Dos Toros has four locations downtown.

And a few others were excited to contribute to a great cause!

Why We Love Dos Toros

I absolutely LOVE their quesadillas!  They start with melting cheese on an open face tortilla, they then add your choice of fresh ingredients.  My go to is chicken, seasonal veggies, lettuce, smoky and verde hot sauces, MORE CHEESE and guac on the side.

All their food is made from scratch, daily. Their entire menu calls for using whole ingredients so there’s no added sugar on the menu! I’m a super picky eater so it’s good to know that their food is also free of almost all common allergens. There’s so much flexibility that they can accommodate Whole 30, keto, gluten free, low calorie, vegan/vegetarian, and low carb diets. They are proud to source chicken, steak, and pork that are 100% naturally raised, antibiotic and hormone free

While the company is based in NY, their taco tortillas in Chicago come from El Milagro, a neighborhood tortilleria in the Pilsen neighborhood. In addition, their burrito and quesadilla tortillas also from El Milagro in Chicago.

They also care about the environment.  They compost their kitchen food waste, and their utensils, cups, straws, napkins, bags, and platos are all compostable. They also get their electricity from renewable sources.
